Addictions hurt us emotionally, physically. We can become addicted easily, even to simple things. When we do something every single day, we start our addiction period.
And when we notice the addiction that hurts and harms us, we want to get rid of it, but, my dear, it’s already an addiction, we will need some time, some willpower to do so. Our mind, our organism is used to it and it needs the same ritual to be done again and again. But if we try to fool ourselves by doing something different every single time, we will forget the addiction we had before. For example if a person has a habit of eating at night everyday, his mind is used to eating every night. But when he keeps himself far away from eating and being bored, he will teach his mind and organism not to eat every night. One can become addicted to a person, but not every person in our life stays for a lifetime. And when that very person leaves us, we go into a deep depression. That case is way too hard.
In conclusion we can all become addicted to anything starting from alcohol, drugs to sweet, fast food, people and other simple things.
Be very strong to stop you from becoming addicted.
